Still drinking well after 10 years. Nose is oak, cedar, and dark fruit and ripe strawberry. More strawberry on the palate along with vanilla, cocoa, dark cherry, leather, clove, and cinnamon. High alcohol, medium tannins, and high acid with a long finish. Could probably age another 5 to 10 years, but I don’t see it improving. Drink it now.

Green and black pepper, stewed dark fruit, leather, and black tea. The 2007 is smooth and well blended, but may be on the backside of its aging apex, with a bit more oxidation and a bit less tart fruit and acid than I’ve tasted in the past. Still a great wine.

Cigar box, tart fruit, pepper, and leather with a mineral backbone. Not quite the heft of premier Black Jack vintages and with a little drop off at the end of the palate, but chewy tannins and tingly acid roar back in the finish.

Nose is black pepper and baked apple. Tart fruit hits the palate early with more black pepper and oak. Still tart in the finish with chewy tannins and moderate acid that lasts a long time.
