Deep. Slightly spiced. Big and bold. Still a baby, beginning to show it's development

Loaded with dark fruit with licorice and tar, intense and fairly balanced but a bit monolithic and tannic at the moment. Not quite up to the standard of the 1997 Giacosa Santo Stefano and the 1999 Costa Russi tasted with it.

Wow. Perfect balance. Dark red fruit with leather. Black current on the finish. Doesn't get much better than this. 2000

Wow! Opened New Year's Day 2017 with Anne, Jo, Jess, Jay and Tony. Ripe blackberries and hint of licorice. Mild tannins and well balanced fruit and acidity. Probably a rare treat but I could get used to this drinking this
