some dust and gnarly blue fruit. A nice mid palate. Long and focused

Gorgeously fresh. Deep plum and black cherry with some herbal notes. This is really plush and delicious. Really complex and long.

Sour cherry and tar, with thyme, rosemary and underlying broad fruit. Very sexy, but also some sour and Pepperiness. Still young- lovely.

If I ever needed something to drill into my head that aged Nebbiolo is an awe-inducing thing, well consider it done. From the get go this was just singing- I called it tar candy- though by no means sweet it felt like dessert like a richly layered torte with chocolate raspberries and licorice, topped with roses that are so beyond dessicated they've come back to life. Yes, zombie roses. Utterly divine and perfect.

Truly righteous. Perfectly stored and aged wine is a beautiful thing. Awe inspiring

One of my favorite vintages from #Gaja, but this bottle had lost some freshness.

Might as well start drinking my age.
