Declassified Pommard from 60 year old vines, and while there is a distinct Pommard tannin structure lurking beneath the surface, this is forward with ripe red fruit, violet, cinnamon, cedar, and an intriguing earthy spice note like cumin. Really pretty wine for early drinking, no need to wait, although it has the weight to match with richer fare.

Apr 8th, 2018This crunchy Bourgogne had more than enough mid pallet texture to be mistaken for village level stuff. It was excellent with the chanterelle & chicken pot pie that I made with the leftovers from yesterday!
