My understanding says that red wine that has effervescence is a flawed wine. This bottle has quite a lot of effervescence going on. Color is beautiful. Smoky dark fruit nose. Tannins are there. A little licorice and minerals and blueberries on a lengthy finish. Aside from the bubbly attack, this wine is alright.
