Herbaceous on the nose with a touch of lingering plum. At this point it's turning to a lovely maroon in colour. The tannins are very well integrated with mild acidity. The fruit showcases better on the palate. A glorious wine for aged cheese and prosciutto.

2008 vintage. Probably held this one too long. All flavours were generally muted. Bit of vanilla and mint supported by black fruit. Medium body.
