I was fortunate enough to attend the grand tasting at TexSom this year. Talk about a Who’s Who of the wine world! Incredible environment with beautiful wines.
Freemark Abbey was pulling out all the stops with a few different ‘90s vintages, this being the oldest. Underripe cherry, cranberry, leather and bell pepper. Still retaining good fruit and acidity.

Feb 4th, 2014V98. So good. Decant, but not long. Plum, olive, tobacco and cedar nose. Black currant, blackberry, blueberry and plum fruit. Soft, structured, leather and black pepper finish. Balanced, excellent food wine.
