Frédéric Lambert
Côtes du Jura Chardonnay
Nose has a Fino Sherry-like oxidized, nutty, saline aromas, green banana peel and fresh nuts (pistachio?).
Palate has baked pear, almond paste, light minerality and baked lemons. A rich yet mellow finish, quite enjoyable, it hasn't lost much since we first tasted after 24 hours open.
Initially uncorked and allowed to slow ox. for 24h before enjoying, no decanting. This are actually day four notes...I've been busy 🤷🏻♂️ and this bottle is holding just fine.

An interesting wine. Very rich. But not in a stupid way. Nose has some lovely iodine. Palate has that lovely intense richness but also some acid and mineral in the background. Finish is nice and stings a bit from the acid mineral combo. Maybe some sherry-like notes. This has the delicious factor so I’d drink it on a regular basis (if I had the luxury of doing that) but it’s also just off the median point enough to make it a change of pace wine. Bought from Fass Selections. ... yummy nut paste on the finish.
