100% Chardonnay expressing the the distinctive soils of the region (Kimmeridgian Limestone), the vineyard is located in the northern of Chablis appellation. The finesse of this wine is the result of a traditional winemaking with fermentation with indigenous yeast in stainless-steel vats to keep the minerality at the highest possible level while preserving the purity and integrity of the fruit. Incredibly refreshing, sliced green apples, persistent balanced-tart, a sublet touch of kumquats, and crazy clean finish.

2014v. Essence of Chardonnay- lemon, tart yellow apples, and a slick minerality on the finish. Compared to this label's regular Chablis this Vielles vignes, or old vines, version is a little less crisp on the acidity, but has a more refined body that keeps you coming back to the bottle. (Vintage could have also been a factor- 2015 vs. 2014 on this bottle, but I think the ratings are pretty similar.) Lovely stuff! 12.5%
