Holy smokes. First time trying a Cornelissen wine. It evolved so much over the course of a couple hours. So high toned and surprised by the amount of acidity upon first tasting. Incredible bottle.

Very very fruity on the nose - violets and black currants. Juicy on the palate with hints of lingonberry, loads of acidity and, a bit surprisingly to me, a smoky, meaty finish. Like that of a good salami. Nice tannins and a very balanced wine.

Loads of just ripe berry notes and dark smokey almost leathery minerality. Juicy and densely mineral palate. Extremely fine tannins lead into a long finish. Honestly it's as if somebody ground up some rocks extremely fine and sprinkled them into the wine; which is a good thing...
