Terroirs Viognier

So pure, barrel but cannot tell. 12 months but 1,2,3 years old. Excellent purity and tension. Like a laser but oak on the finish.

Avec quelques années de plus, ce condrieu aurait été superbe. Un petit quelque chose sur le yahourt au nez, avec des touches florales et de poire, de mangue.

2017. Rich, buttery, and a bit sweet.

Mineral water and essences of tropical fruit. Very soil to glass clarity. Makes all other viogniers seem heavy and fat.

Drank next to the 1998 Napa valley Viognier - Joseph Phelps. Perfect example of Condrieu with little or no signature of the maker. This is a pure and honest terroir capture. Everything is in perfect balance here. Fresh and flowery, minimal minerals. This girl is completely all natural, no make-up, no fancy clothes. She dresses in all white, drinks tea, and tends to the jasmine bushes. Classical love.

Zero stuffing. No one is at the wheel of this brew. Precision cut by nature and unadulterated by opinion. Respect to the man who gets out of his own way. If you are interested in Condrieu I would suggest this as a starting point...she makes girls wearing even minimal amounts of make-up look trashy.
