Citrus zest, tomato stem, gooseberry, oyster shells, wet stones. Lean and focused, low ph and very stony on the palate with a lot of bones but very little flesh.

Picture perfect Sancerre. Under ripe citrus and tropical fruit, a strong herbal streak and acid washed rocks for days. Palate cleansing. Palate refreshing.

I suppose with climate change, we're going to start seeing more of these Loire SBs without the grassy, pyrazine qualities of years past. Delicious, mineral and citrus driven wine - but it doesn't line up with what I think of as Sancerre. Time to reframe expectations!

Not a huge sauv blanc lover but this is really refreshing during our current heat wave. Gobs of acid and super fresh citrus and lemongrass notes. Squeaky clean freshness.
