François Cazin (Le Petit Chambord)
Cuvée Renaissance Moelleux Cour-Cheverny Romorantin
Superb. Complex nose of pineapple, Anjou pear, ginger, nutmeg, honey, elderflower, followed by a palate that echoes the same and adds cereal, butterscotch, caramel, mushrooms. Off dry but with good acid to balance it out. Long finish. Perfect with fuller flavored Asian dishes.

Jan 30th, 2018Nice Demi-sec wine, and not as sweet as I expected for a Moelleux, which was good. A good balance of sweet and acid. The wine went well with cheese. Sweet white fruit to start with an acidic finish. A good choice with Indian food. Much better than the dry Romarantin from this producer.

Aug 1st, 2016Medium to medium plus lemon. Sweet lemon, candied apple, pear, a touch of herbs, maybe parsley? A hint of something chemical, probably not petrol, reminds me of some mineral oil maker up remover. Medium plus acidity, medium plus sugar, medium alcohol. The finish is long and elegant, although it's a bit on the sweet side for me.
