No formal notes. Sweet mix of black/red fruit, ripe yet assertive tannins, nice mid-palate juice, leathery. Structured and quiet now, shows potential.

Showing a bit of development on the nose. Very much the savory, pure side of Sangiovese. Red sour cherry, earth, a lot of acid, with dried porcini and sage on the nose:

No question there was acetone on the nose but still quite nice. This is definitely a food wine that needs to be paired.

Delicate, tarry, earthy nose. some barnyard.Easy going long palate acids tamed but present. 1 hr decant. Really delicious 14.5°.Very traditional w/o any trace of vanillin or barrel. Yay.

A serious wine that probably needed a few more years. Heavily tannic, opened up after about an hour. Cherries, earth, a pleasant underlying sourness. Distinct on the palate, with a lingering finish. Thanksgiving bottle #2.

Cherry, strawberry and some spice. Let this open decant for a bit before diving in. Enjoyable stuff though and I’m guessing will get better with time
