Shared this one on fb last Friday after drinking, but what an iron-y, manly, and gorgeous wine. Almost went crazy over this one. Loved loved and loved.

My first Nebbiolo this old, and it showed what this grape can do! Poured fresh from the bottle, this smelled like very little and tasted thin, tart, and like iron. An hour and a half later (we went shopping for dinner) it opened up to reveal the beautifully developed wine within: clear flavors of dried cranberries, raspberries, and roses contrasted with savory iron, roasted meat, dried mushrooms, tar, ash, smoke, and a dust cloud of spice and chalk. This has integrated and the tannins have mostly resolved but still have a felty presence. Along with the overall freshness and intensity of the fruit, I'd say this bottle has even more time ahead of it. If, you know, you happen to have a case stashed away.
