A perfect bottle of Belle Voyes from a couple shipments back. Lush Chardonnay fruit and toast. Plus, a perfect day at Fort Baker, under blue skies and the Golden Gate.

What a bottle, showed a little melon flavor on top of the classic bdb flavors. Of course in full bottle format.

From several shipments ago. Aging into textural, rich, Grand Cru Chardonnay. Still one of the best Champagnes money can buy. Bonville continues to be a top notch grower-producer that all Champagne fans have to try.

Rich, oxidative and really good. Nice to have given this some age.

From the same batch as my previous btl. On the nose: lovely richness: lemon/lime, dark roasted nuts, a hint of vanilla, stones. On the palate, great acidity, lemon peel, vanilla, loads of stoney minerality, fantastic density, dark nuts.

J: very brut. Strong bubble but rough after taste. Better in more open stem ware.

B: bold. Too much so for my champagne preference. Somewhat harsh with a long bitter finish. Better in open glass.
Probably would not buy again.
