Jan 22nd, 2019Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.
Nose of cherries, plums, blueberries, nail polish removal, vinaigrette, wood, licorice, spices, dark coffee, pencil lead, earth, vegetables and black pepper.
Medium bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate and fruity with strawberries, blueberries, plums, currants, oak, herbs, chocolates, vanilla, spices, earth, peppercorn, tobacco and cloves.
Medium finish with medium (-) tannins and tangy cherries.
This is a nice Red blend from California. Showing mild complexity, nice balance and an enjoyable mouthfeel.
Good for parties, or as a sipping wine by the porch. Needs 30 minutes to open up properly.
I paired it with a cheese plate.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

Aug 3rd, 2017I guessed Petite Sirah, Zin, and Merlot. I was surprisingly close. It is a Syrah, Zin, PS, and cab blend. Not bad, but not very interesting. Would buy if it was on sale.
