I've noted in the past that while most of the time I prefer a Euro style over a big oaky Cali chard there are some times when it's just the right thing to do. Terrific acidity played off against grapefruit and apricot notes but with that big oakiness that sets the big time Cali chard's apart from all else out there. If you can find it you'll really love it.
