2012 vintage. From the "Grande Roche" vineyard in St.Helena, replanted in 1996 (phylloxera). 75% Cabernet sauvignon, 18% Cabernet franc, 4% Petit Verdot and 3% Merlot. Bright red. Restrained Bordeaux-like nose. Classic pure black fruit with rather high acidity. Has an old-school feel about it, built for the long run. 2012 vintage. Abv. 14,5%. 99 euro.

Terrific ‘07 cab that really benefitted from 2 hrs of air. Still, I think I prefer the less heralded ‘06 by a hair for it’s complexity.
