this was honestly one of the best Pinot Noirs I have had. With all the Forge hype these days i didn’t want to like this as much as i did - trying to adjust for the hype bias, but I couldn’t stop drinking it - beautifully fruit forward with soft cherries and perfect tannins. Young but meant to drink young in my humble opinion.

Another wine from my mixed case of Finger Lakes wines and my first ever from Forge. I’m a fan of wines from Tango Oaks, so I was excited to try this. The nose was muted with only slight notes of rose, red fruits and spice. The palate was definitely more interesting. Crunchy, fresh red berries that were juicy and succulent (tart cherry, cranberry and raspberry) with non-fruit notes of
rose, gravel, underbrush and baking spices.
Medium plus acid, medium tannin, medium body and a medium plus finish. You could tell this wine is well made, but it might need a few years to really come together.
