Fontanasanta Vigneti Delle Dolomiti Nosiola

An adventure worth taking. Sometimes oxidation like this strangely suspends a wine for a good period of time (Chaves from 70s) sometimes not.

Deep hazy straw yellow. Nose of overripe quince, spiced orange, mineral. Echoed on the palate with some mild tannins on the finish. Full-bodied with medium acidity. Great intro to Italian orange wines.

6 months skin contact, a year in amphora, and tasting fresh as can be. Bright citrus notes, citrus peel, hint of tea leaf. Haven't tasted an skin contact wine so fresh. Top notch

Honey, lemon peel, chalk. Very shy and a bit reductive at first, but opened up beautifully after an hour decant with good aromatics. There was liveliness to this that reminded me of Cornelissen and Foillard with less obvious funk.

Very cidery on the palate, funky on the nose. Nose reminds me of Loire chenin.
beautiful golden lightly unfiltered character.
