Dark plums, figs, balsamic, mint and dried thyme in the nose. Additional clay flavors and bitter finish. Would've liked more acidity to counter the dusty tannins, but overall a great food wine.

Had nice figgy nose and spice, but finish needed a bit more body and on finish. But knock vernaccia nera off the list.

Fantastic. A great pairing for steak. A robusto and strong tannins. But stays balanced. 13.5% al. Has some cassis and/or licorice. Like a young to mid aged Bordeaux. A great buy at $22.
