Still had quite some alcohol and tannins left. Classic Barolo nose cigars, with dried flowers and some confit of fruit kind of something. Opened it and decanted, waited 2 hours. Still very closed so decided to wait for the next day. Happy with this decision it was beautiful since the tannines loosened up and alcohol became less prominent

Glorious! All the classic Barolo traits, autumn leaves, rose leaves, leather. Very expressive. Superb balance, with pleasant acidity, soft tannins, long finish. At its peak.

This '98 vintage is a testament to why more producers should go back to the fundamentals. What makes this wine particularly unique is the producers ability to include MDMA without altering the mouthfeel. Excellent to pair with an overly cooked Trump steak showered in ketchup and lies.
