Great Terroirs Granny 2013
Saw this in a wine store and never had a Bulgarian so why not try it. I'm not disappointed but I'm not happily surprised. Dark cherry, white chocolate, definitely taste the effects of the 30 months of oak. Easy and short finish with grippy medium tannines and quite some acidity but overall flat. Still had quite some alcohol and tannins left. Classic Barolo nose cigars, with dried flowers and some confit of fruit kind of something. Opened it and decanted, waited 2 hours. Still very closed so decided to wait for the next day. Happy with this decision it was beautiful since the tannines loosened up and alcohol became less prominent — 8 years ago

This is Benoît Ente, mineral driven, lots of secundairy tones yet refreshing! You could say the acidity is a bit on top but I really liked it. Will buy again!
