Dark brick color, clear; dark dried cherries, plums, some strawberries, honeysuckle, potpourrie of dried red flowers, hints of oak; dry on the palate, not very tannic at all, and quite lame on the midpalate, chestburning finish without the flair and elegance one would expect from this region and vintage.

Sep 26th, 2020A very nice Barolo that didn’t break the bank. Paired well with grilled meats and fire-roasted vegetables while dining out. Bing cherry notes with a slight minerality on the mid-palate.

Apr 17th, 2021Decanted several hours. Profile typical of a Barolo. Lots of red fruit: cherry, strawberry, raspberry. Heavy tannins. Opens into leather and tobacco. A few floral notes. Mid-palate is a bit sharp and finishes a little shorter than I’d like.
