Lovely Barolo. Surprisingly approachable on opening with enticing aroma of roses cherry and strawberry with a touch of spice. Medium bodied and well balanced acidity and tannins. Same fruit and spices on the palate along with undergrowth and balsamic. Finish is soft and lingering. Next day even softer and more elegant.

let it breathe for 20 in bottle - suuuper smooth. jammy but not sweet! good structure, well balanced - tannin/acid balance was great. very easy to drink

The wine is still pretty wound up, fruit is tart but still pleasant. I'm picking up a small fault that you have to look for, just a hint of acetyl aldehyde. I'm still giving this a positive rating though, the wine is overall very good and I'll probably get a couple bottles to see how it developes over the next couple years
