Fontaleoni
Chianti Colli Senesi Sangiovese
Chianti Colli Senesi, Chianti, Tuscany, Italy
Pours a brick red color with aromas of dried cherries, plums, and hints of sun-dried tomatoes. Medium high tannins and acidity dominate the pallate, this improves after a couple hours and the dried cherries, cloves and and a bit of balsamic comes through more readily. We enjoyed this wine by itself but would go great with hearty/rustic tomato dishes.

Loved the complexities in this proper sangiovese, colorino blend. Tasted & revealed itself best on day 3 after opening! This producer I give my two thumbs up & I also respect their vineyard practices as well Bravo!!!!

Aug 2nd, 2019I would drink it again, but perhaps I would try another Chianti first.
