Extremely closed and overly tannic on nights one, two and three. 2/3 went down the drain.

It’s silky and elegant, with acidity and mineral-laced red fruits that penetrate the palate, finishing with violets and grippy tannins. Low bodied but good. Rose on steroids.

Funky. Stewed fruit and wet dog. Not ideal for meeting the future in-laws, but well structured.

Drank the 2008 in for birthday dinner 2021 with ricotta and truffle honey starter and Tagliatelle Bolognese main. Also paired well with pasta sausage and broccolini. Dark cherry and chocolate long and complex finish.
