Bright cherry and crushed herb aromas. On the bigger side as far as Pinots go. But well made.

This is in what appears to be the current style for southern central coast PNs: on the savory side, with prominent stemmy and roasted herbal components, with fruit in a complementary role. Large framed and full flavored, with moderate complexity.

NIGHT 2: Way more Burgundian. Beautiful sappy cherry fruit shows through on the nose and palate, and some minerality pops in the finish. Bumping it from a 9.0 to a 9.2. Air this puppy out!

Nutmeg and cumin meet ripe red cherry and rhubarb. On the more viscous side, but fresh cherry and strawberry fruit shows. Acidity carries a pleasant finish.

I'm not a big fan of Sta Rita Hills fruit but this is pretty tasty for the price. A little jammy but nice BBQ wine.
