Floral Terraces
North Folk of Long Island Teroldego Blend
Really fascinating and special wine from Long Island. Concentrated but not tannic. Lush but light. Lovely with a chill. LI salinity with peculiar fruit.

Fine tannins that coat the top of the mouth and tongue. Not super high acid but very ripe fruit flavor. There’s some roasted red pepper. Maybe a bit of celery salinity. Also some roasted brownness on the nose like coffee. Lavender and mint come out after air. I wish I had a bottle of this in five years. I imagine would become even meatier and smokier. Good stuff. One of my favorite wines from Long Island’s Floral Terranes.

Apr 18th, 2020Lightness of diluted apple juice, goes down easy. Skin contact gives it some complexity and baked, yeasty notes.
