
Wow- this bottle is a lot fresher than the one we drank a year ago. The Robert Fleury is a barrel fermented blend of 45% Pinot Noir, 35% Pinot Blanc and 20% Chardonnay. Earthy dark fruit, Krug like barrel influence and savor are balanced by 2004 snap. With foie gras, pour le dimanche!

I hope it's OK to drink Champagne outside of Manhattan. This bottle is all 2001, barrel fermented and kissed with a bit of Pinot Blanc. It has all the flavors of Autumn. It is perfect with cold foie gras and fleur de sel- don't say Menlo can't party.

All 2001, this barrel fermented blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and the rare Pinot Blanc comes from the original (since 1989!) biodynamic producer in Champagne. On deck for tomorrow's Champagne Friday tasting.
