2022 vintage. Pedesclaux becomes better and better, and that is also reflected in the second wine. Fleur de Pedesclaux is usually dominated by Merlot, but this 2022 is 49% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot. Therefore, it shows a more typical Pauillac character than before, with black fruit (cassis, blackberries), some smokiness, a powerful structure, and serious length. Abv. 14%. Even better the next day. Should age beautifully.

2018 vintage. This estate is on a high, reflecting in this second wine. Although it is 90% Merlot it displays black rather than red fruit and a serious structure. Already very attractive, but should age well for up to 10 years.

Red fruit; simple. Not bad for sure, but not much going on either.

Expect a lot from this wine. This is the second wine of Cháteau Pédesclaux , Deep , violet, dark- plum oak cherry harmony in the nose . Spiced - perfumed oak ... Odd resemblance to Californian Cabernet . Tastes more on the meritage side of winemaking

Rose petal and cherry pit. Plum. Really beautiful and graceful on the approach. Subtle and elegant

Very nice BDX. The one estate on the left bank that heavily tilts Merlot. This wine doesn’t need any time to breath. I decanted but that’s wasn’t really necessary. Well balanced, subtle tannins, nice acidity showing. Long finish.
