Is this thing still on? I was inspired to log on by @Lyle Fass βs post on Threads regarding the decline of this app. Sure enough, my first note was lost. Second try. We all miss Delectable but it is nice to see some of the same folks still flying the flag. This Roddolo was fabulous - deep and rustic with lovely sweet fruit that broke out around 5 hours inβ¦

Lots of prune, currants, broad acids, dried blackberry, steely tannins. Took a minute to open up, really delicious. 09/23/25

Sep 23rd, 2025Certainly the most serious Barbera I think Iβve had, from a very traditional producer. I believe this vintage is actually his current release, which is a bit nuts (reminds me of Lopez de heredia...but with barbera). Deep dark color with deep red fruit on the nose and lots of good earth and some leather. Finish has good refreshing acidity, but this is better after 1 hr in the decanter vs 4. Very nice.
