Unoaked Judean Hills Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc
#kosherwineSunday
Pale lemon in color with a green hue.
Fruity nose of citrus, limes, lemons, grapefruits, green apples, spices, herbs, minerals, sea salt and white pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium-plus acidity and long legs.
Dry and crispy on the palate with lemons, citrus, green apples, grapefruits, herbs and spices.
Long finish with limes and almonds.
This 3 year old Sauvignon Blanc/ Chardonnay blend is drinking very nicely now. Still nice and crisp, and good for the pool. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.
Really shows the complexity when not too cold. Better after 30 minutes of airtime and nicer when not very chilled.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with a gorgeous day by the pool.
A blend of 58% Sauvignon Blanc and 42% Chardonnay grapes from the Judean Hills region. Kosher. Not Mevushal.
13% alcohol by volume.
90 points.
$33.

Light golden in color with a green hue.
Gentle nose of citrus, limes, grapefruits, light tropical fruits, ripen red apples, spices and minerals.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with citrus, lemons, green apples, grapefruits, bitter herbs, spices, pineapples, earth, river rocks and light tropical fruits.
Nice length on the spicy finish.
This is a very nice surprise. I did not expect that much complexity from this wine, which I really liked.
Better when not overly chilled. A good sipping wine by the porch. Has enough body to have all by itself.
This is impressive, actually. Very tasty and easy to drink. Well balanced with nice complexity.

Pleasant summer wine with a modern style. My score 85, drink to 2018

Feb 6th, 2016Probably one of the better Israeli whites out there, I am a big fan of new world and of Israeli wines, I think it is fair to say that white is not the strong side of Israeli wines, while some of the Reds excel. This unpacked blend of 60% SB and 40% Chardonnay, is quite fresh it has a pale green color, tropical nose of lychee, melon, grape fruit and light flowers, medium body, with fresh acidity and a pleasant finish. The acidity is not as elegant and smooth as wish it would be, yet it is pleasant. My score 85, drink to 2017
