Sat in oak for 18 months, the palate shows blackberry and cherry flavors, cacao and oaky herb tones. Firm tannins, long finish ending smooth with fruit, tobacco and mineral notes. Has room to age. Almost Bordeaux like. The mid palate separated it from Bordeaux in its depth...lots of dark fruit. The entry and finish revealed faint red and black fruit notes with a touch of sweet oak.
