Sun baked, Raisined fruit, leather and tar. The gives way to brandy soaked cherries. Not shy about it alcohol, thus wine comes in hot. But dark lush fruit and leather, and light tannins balance it out.

From the Pericone grape Long thought to be lost in Sicily but discovered in an old church Vineyard by the Firriato family. Ripe Blackberry with a touch of a raisin and leather character. Nice structure but a touch hot.

Deep, black fruit, a little prune/raisin notes, and tar. It's a hot climate wine, but done in the best way. Tastes like tasty Chateauneuf. Well done!!

Notes of prune, cassis, dried blueberry and licorice. Thank you @Amy Troiano for such a great suggestion!

A decent to good wine that needs 7 or more years of age to be drinkable. Big fruit extraction and big tannic structure. Alcohol levels are at 14.5% and the alcohol shows through with too much heat on the palate. Not a good food wine at this point.

This is big, but really well balanced. Ripe fruit, spice and still youthful. Great drinking right now and could still handle some mid-term cellaring.

Absolutely love this - lots of flavor, blackberry and smoke. Bold and delicious.
