Finca Los Aljibes
Chinchilla de Montearagon Red Blend

Dark inky color with fruit, herb and spice aromas. On the palate blackberry and cherry flavors with citrus, leather, smoke and pepper spice notes. Full body, fine tannins on medium finish. Ok value.

Not very bueno. Tastes like metal, and a hint of dirt. Needs more cherry and smoothness. Taste leaves very quick.

Enjoyable wine for $20. Would decant next time. Had a good tannic/dry bite on finish.

Picked up at a Lucky's Grocer, where they sometimes"avoid the middleman" for lower prices, this red wine has a lot of character, overall good attributes, and it has legs! A decent nose with a smooth initial taste on the pallet that is actually a little sweet in the beginning...then finishes with light tannins and a delayed dry end. I would rate 3.7 if I could as my wife liked it, but did not love it. The price tag keeps the review number down as well.
