A good start & Initial impression. Would benefit from some breathing. Another find from Trader Joe's. 33.3% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33.3% Merlot, 33.4% Montepulciano. "Trentatre" translates to 33 in Italian. This is a decent, inexpensive dry red. — 7 years ago
A solid nose. Bold & zesty with spicy notes, but a little bit too much alcohol aftertaste for me. Decanting suggested. — 8 years ago
A good nose and nice initial impression that improves once decanted. Under $9 from Macadoodles. A solid choice at the price I landed. — 7 years ago
Glorious fruit bomb. Full flavored character with long legs. — 7 years ago
Very good with a nice all-around balance. A 90-Point Beat Buy from Wine Enthusiast. Nice & smooth with a pleasant finish. My wife even liked it, and she avoids the reds. — 7 years ago
Loaded with flavor and character. For $10 it is a great choice to go with many food pairings. — 8 years ago
Nothing special here. It needs help. Perhaps some decanting. Too harsh. Too spicy. As usual per Trader Joe's, the pricing is good, but not a likely repeat. — 7 years ago
I will admit the blowout price of $2.99 at the local Macadoodles impacts my thoughts on this one. However, it is on point and as nice as you would expect for a regular nine dollar bottle. What's on the label says it all, "soft and fruity. It is a mild Merlot and a little thin, but pleasant enough. At $2.98 I'm going to buy more if they still have it. — 7 years ago
A beautiful nose. Still young, this is a great sipping wine,--no big gulps here. This is one to savor. This is also one to age another 4 to 7 years as it will get better with time. Drinking now,...provide plenty of air and drinking at around 67° would be my suggestion. In a few years I have no doubt I'll rate this a solid 9+. — 8 years ago

For $9.99 at Trader Joe’s, this is a step up in their Malbec lineup. I do like it a lot, but it’s more than twice the price of their entry-level. It is full of flavor, and all kinds of character. I love it from the initial smell of the bottle, nose from class, & through the finish. — 7 years ago
