Reserva Mendoza Malbec

I'm not sure I really get entry-level Malbec. Big, chocolately Malbecs are fun but I'm not sure what this wine's niche is. Aroma - sweet sandalwood-spiced plum jam. On the palate the sweetness is there but not the richness it needs to support it and the tannins no quite giving enough grip. A perfectly pleasant wine, no wow.

A meatier more chewy wine that emphasizes the earthy and savory flavors over fruit. Good value and nice difference.

I really like this wine especially at the price point. Nice fruit notes and easy finish. Not as full bodied as I like but good.

Easy drinking malbec with good body and deep violet colour. Dark fruit flavours that deliver a satisfying wine that paired very well with sweet chili beef stir-fry.
