From a magnum. A fantastic wine. I have enjoyed Leonetti wines before, but this is my first experience with Figgins. Dense, complex and flavourful, with a long authoritative aftertaste, quite impressive. It’s almost ready, with many more years of life ahead of it. Better on 2nd and 3rd day when it completely opened up. Makes me want more.

Nice blend. Really really smooth now, starting to lose some of the fruit. Still good. Good with spicy food.
Revised my rating after this sat out for a few hours. So much better. The pepper on the back palate really developed.

This 2012 is silky smooth and delicious. I’d say 98% as good as hillside select but a lot less expensive .

A very nice balance of tight tannins and fruit. More fruit than I generally like in a cab, but this balance works well. Currant, hint of spice, espresso bean. A perfect "steak" wine.
