Field Recordings
Pèt Nat Dry Hop Chardonnay
This is just super easy to drink and really fun. Refreshing, crushable. Like having a few beers at the bar.

Mar 27th, 2020What I like about Field Recordings is that Andrew Jones is building his brand on his identity as a field hunter or vine scout first. He has a resume for establishing grape relationships and using those to offer the best intersection of quality and price in the California natural wine arena.
Take this. The idea to mix Mosaic hops with sparkling Chardonnay may seem at first gimmicky. But it’s not. It’s simple and delicious. It’s just what you’d expect. Lemony and resiny and chalky and dry and lean and also very unique. And for $22.

1 person found it helpfulJul 12th, 20182017 vintage. So yummy and tropical. Aromas are very much New Zealand-style hops with passionfruit, melon, orange blossom water, overripe peach, mango. Palate has great acidity and lots of citrus. Clean and lacking overt funkiness.

Jun 5th, 2020NV. These are the freshest, dankest hop aromas of the three bottles I’ve enjoyed. My daughter said it smelled like weed (🤔). Paired really well with roasted vegetables and goat cheese stuffed piquillos.

Sep 13th, 2023NV. I really enjoy how the citrus, berry, and herbal notes from the Mosaic hops explode from this well carbonated Pèt Nat.
