A punchy, organic Nero D’Avola. Quite grapey when opened. Certainly lighter & airier than its typical brothers, as Mr. Asimov noted. Same maker as the white I recently reviewed. Kind of same light style connects the two, at least Sicilian style.

Lovely Nero d’Avola of Sicily produced by Feudo Montoni, one of the oldest estates on this volcanic island; this wine offers ripe plum, black cherry, clove, cigar, tobacco, and licorice.
It’s and youthful and fruit forward. It’s made organically.
Vintage 2018. ABV 13.5%.

Such concentrated, ripe red and black fruit notes such as black cherry, strawberry, blackberry preserves, also tobacco, and anise. 💯 delicious!!
