Honeydew melon, apricot, mandarin orange, pear, hay, subtle white flowers. Having never tasted Petite Arvine, this was fuller, richer and lower acid than I was anticipating for an “alpine white”. Almost caramel apple like on the palate. I see some similar characteristics with Savoie Altesse. Interesting.

Apples, pears, lemon and white flowers. Manages to carry surprising palate weight while still being unmistakably a mountain wine. Refreshing. Deeeeee-licious.

This would be especially lovely on a crisp, but sunny day. Round, full body with ripe apples and pears, some kinda zippy citrus is in there, and floral notes under it all. The grape, petit arvine, is another one for mountainous, border regions of northern Italy and the Swiss Alps.
