Purchased for under 10€ at the winery. Dark fruits, plenty of ripeness and tannins. Nice little wine for the price.

Indigenous variety from Campania (Campi Flegri, Vesuvio, Napoli area and the Sorrento peninsula). Traditionally blended with Aglianico to tame that grape, it’s produced as a varietal too. Soft overall mouthfeel with bright and integrated acidity; cherry, blackberry, floral notes (Violet? Lilac?) and an underlying herbal quality. M- body, M length, great QPR at 13€.

Pairing: baby greens, fresh figs, gorgonzola, almonds and pumpkin seeds, balsamic vinaigrette, focaccia on a warm summer evening 👍🏻
