May 29th, 2021This is a brilliant effort from Ferren. Opaque in the glass, with notes of decadent sugary notes on the nose. The palate displays subtle oak treatment, with pears, tropical fruits, and a hint of celery. Lovely acidity gives way to moderate sweetness, and a plush, smooth mouthfeel. This is peaking right now.

Jun 22nd, 2020There’s something very special about this wine, but I can’t quite put my finger on it.
A unique presentation, with grapefruit, lemons and limes. Excellent acidity, which brings just the right amount of tension. A honied sweetness completes what is a standout expression of Sonoma.

Just right down the middle. Drinking just below room temperature. My favorite of his 14’s

Nov 22nd, 2019Really good. Hasn’t evolved much since we last tasted it. On the nose, notes of crisp green apples and green bell peppers. Palate is balanced and soft. Finishes with butterscotch and precise oak treatment. The is a poster child for understated chard.

Feb 10th, 2019This is even better then the 13. Solid Chardonnay!

Dec 16th, 2018The one adjective I would use to define this is idiosyncratic. From it’s opaque appearance, to its sherbet-like nose and bright acidity on the palate, it’s jarring, but in a good way. I was put onto this by the beach-bum @Paul Treadway Huntington Beacher Bum. Good call, mate. As it warms up, it gathers pace and weight. An interesting departure from the norm.
Day 2 Update
This has relaxed a lot, and has significantly improved as a result. Taking our rating up a notch.
