The wine is aged in French oak (50% new) for 16 months. The finish shows cinnamon spice and tobacco notes ending with smoky oak. This full bodied wine needs a little more time to soften.

Tannic and viscous at first, but after a couple hours in bottle, the fruit drys down nicely and reveals a savory character. Black cherry, earl gray tea, dry herbs, integrated oak, and some honest grip on the finish.

Still standing. Let it decant for a bit. Dried red fruit, still some tannins, but high alcohol but glad we waited on this one.
