Eldorado Noir Russian River Valley Black Muscat

12.4% alc. On Randy Fuller’s recommendation, I got a bottle of this, paired with blackberries, marble cake baked by my 11-year old niece, and some Salt & Straw ice cream - Coava coffee & Cloudberry craque (cacao nibs). Inky purple. Blueberry and blackberry aromas and flavors, slight seed bitterness, sweet tea and elderberry cough syrup in finish. Tough to assess but we liked it. More desserts, more dessert wine.

This is one amazing dessert wine, possibly one for people who say they don't like dessert wines. The nose is deep and dark, just like the color, and smells like sugary tar with a black licorice backbeat. The sweetness is perfectly counterbalanced by the savory side. On the palate, it's all black currant and berries, with a streak of earth right down the middle. The tannins are medium firm and the acidity is somewhat low, so it's really sippable, but it also pairs well with soft cheese or a fruit dish.

Love this wine, great with cheesecake!

Didn't age as well as I'd hoped, but still a very well-balanced dessert and wine. When younger and exhibits incredible fresh lavender, raspberry, boysenberry, blueberry, full of purple fruit and just so aromatically sensual.

Had this 6 years ago...time for a second bottle.

Rich color... Highly aromatic, lovely floral nose. Not overly sweet. Delicious.

Tastes like strawberries and smells like roses. A pretty good dessert wine

2011 Black Muscat FerrariCarano

Hi early, as summer whites go, this is delightful. Not too tart, fruity but dry - I would buy this again.

Blueberry, violet. Pour over ice cream.
