A completely foreign, Northern Italian varietal, Erbaluce. I think because varietal is so foreign the bottle gets discounted 50% by its importer. Has a lovely floral lift, a slightly grainy, Chardonnay esque attack, more medium weight. Rosenthal importer. For 9$ my steal of the year. Really.

Love Ferrando but this isn’t my favorite Erbaluce. There’s definitely skin contact, which manifests as tannin in the wine. Golden/copper-tinged. A bit short.

Rich with equal parts honey and lemon. I love the style of Northern Italy and this could be anything from Piedmont to Alto Adige. Golden glow, sweet perfumes, viscous foundation. Aromas of honey lemon almond marzipan, a bed of flowers, smoke and hint of mint. Very worth my while.

Rind of lime, grapefruit, blades of grass, hint of white pepper.
Martini-like body. Citrus notes blend with fresh grass qualities, slightly on the acidic side with nothing to balance at the end note. Notes of pomelo and slightly astringent.
