⚡️New Release ⚡️ Introducing the Ferngrove 2017 Orchid Cossack Riesling which retails for $23 approx. Ferngrove expressed that ‘2017 was a near perfect vintage’ for them across whites and reds. And I have to admit this is a stellar example of a single vineyard Riesling. I actually got told off by Mr. Spittoon for sharing the last half of the bottle with workmates and not with him 🤭
It’s a pale lemon colour in the glass with a hint of green. The nose is rather herbaceous with notes of minerality and spiced pear 🍐 coming through. In the mouth 👄 it’s juicy, refreshing and absolutely smashable. It’s dry and reminds me of old fashioned lemonade. Yumo!

A new release from the Ferngrove team! This 2016 'Cossack' Riesling retails for approximately $23 and is part of the Orchid Range.
In the glass this GS Riesling is a crystal clear baby yellow colour with a slight emerald fleck. Apples, minerality and juicy lime scents rise from the glass. The palate is crisp, smooth and it has a creamy refreshing-ness to it - wonderful texture in the mouth with hints of apples, grapefruit and lemongrass. A stunner example of a beautiful dry WA Riesling.

Bristling, intense, juicy and delicious. Has some of that cut rubber thing going on along with piercing lemon and stony minerality. Faint honeyed note on the nose. Puckering, pithy finish, leaving the mouth watering.

Aug 11th, 2020Really nice riesling. Has some of those developed notes (hint of kero) on the nose accompanied by plenty of juicy citrus and a lovely taut finish. It’s young yet already fleshed out.
