Dosset Dolcetto d'Alba

Best Dolcetto value on the planet?

Deep and beautiful garnet color. Sticky and density.
First scent: raspberry, gooseberry, mulberry, and other wild berries.
Second note: ink, pencils, iron, flint and match.
Mid aroma: red lily, aromatic flowers, violet cabbage, boiled eggs, bacon, pickles, and herbs.

Attack: less sweetness, vibrant acid.
Mid palate: rich fruitiness and good tannin.
Finish: long and good acid with cleanliness.

Interesting dolcetto. Austere at first but opens up to a huge amount of floral aromas. Also strawberry and tabacco. Dry finish.

This is my second bottle of this wine and I'm still trying to think of another natural red wine that can deliver a better value than this.

Old style #dolcetto from natural winemaker. 10.5% alcohol like Dolcetto used to be.. Amazing!!

Bright jammy crushed flowers pomegranate violet aromas flavored of tart red currant black raspberry pomegranate and spicy tangy blood orange with a tart, juicy finish and very high acidity. Great summer red.

Criminally inexpensive for this well made 'natural' wine. Bulletproof, dense, bright, fruit, soil, and a freshness w/o carbo, I'm still stunned at the price. Bravo!!

Blackberry - cranberry and dry.

Part of Italian wine tasting night. I don’t have much experience drinking Dosset but this one makes me want to drink more. Low ABV natural goodness. Wild notes of strawberry shisha in the best way.
